Amsterdam Expatcenter Expands Services
Services Now Include Faster Approvals
The Amsterdam Expatcenter recently expanded services to further expedite foreign workers’ residence and work permits.
The Expatcenter, which opened last October, already allowed employers to start the residence permit procedure for workers and their families before they arrive in the Netherlands. Expatcenter Amsterdam is now also offering a “two-stop shop,” which grants formal IND approval two weeks after the residence permit application has been filed. IND approval allows the employee to immediately begin his or her job. The employee will only have to visit the Expatcenter one last time, to pick up the residence permit.
EU citizens who are employed by a company that is part of the IND's knowledge migrant procedure also have additional services available to them. They may visit the center for their municipal registration, and for the EU passport sticker, if required.
